Vicky and Roger Morrison, stewards of a historic homestead near Lucknow, Ontario, discovered their passion for pizza with a humble clay oven on a 4-foot stump, evolving into a thriving family enterprise. The journey, marked by creative experimentation and persistence, led to a mobile stainless steel oven crafted by Roger on a trailer. Joined by their son Blair and partner Courtney in 2021, the pizza business blossomed, even expanding to offer on-farm accommodations. As winter transitions to spring, Grassroots Farm becomes a Woodfired Pizza haven, emphasizing a commitment to sustainable, locally sourced ingredients. Through their craft, the Morrisons invite all to indulge in the delicious and captivating world of their handcrafted pizzas.
