Bright Cheese & Butter was established in 1874 by local farmers with a surplus of milk each month from their livestock. Since then, cheddar has become Canada’s second-largest export and there are over 1,000 cheddar factories in Ontario alone. Bright Cheese is the oldest remaining cheddar factory in Canada, still working from its original location from 1874. Bright is well known for all-natural, naturally-aged cheese made with 100% local milk, made the old-fashioned way.
