Within each flaky crust lies an appetizing array of locally sourced meats and veggies. Our meat pies are made from scratch, baked, and frozen the next day to preserve the freshness. Vicky and Roger Morrison, stewards of a historic homestead near Lucknow, Ontario, discovered their passion for pizza with a humble clay oven on a 4-foot stump, evolving into a thriving family enterprise. The journey, marked by creative experimentation and persistence, led to a mobile stainless steel oven crafted by Roger on a trailer. Joined by their son Blair and partner Courtney in 2021, the pizza business blossomed, even expanding to offer on-farm accommodations. As winter transitions to spring, Grassroots Farm becomes a Woodfired Pizza haven, emphasizing a commitment to sustainable, locally sourced ingredients. Through their craft, the Morrisons invite all to indulge in the delicious and captivating world of their handcrafted pizzas.
